Student Story: My First 1-on-1 Online Class
I started with worry
“I still remember the feeling before my very first 1-on-1 class. Sitting in front of the screen, I was nervous: would I make mistakes, would I understand, would the teacher judge me?”
The initial struggles
For years, I studied English the traditional way: grammar, exercises, memorizing vocabulary. But when it came to speaking, words got stuck in my head. I was afraid to open my mouth, afraid of being wrong, afraid of being laughed at.
How the class changed me
Surprisingly, the teacher was not strict as I feared, but patient, always listening and encouraging. I was asked questions, I answered, I got corrected immediately—and I felt like I was truly communicating, not just ‘studying English.’ Everything happened in a 100% English environment. It was tough at first, but I realized this was exactly what helped me build reflexes faster.
The results after the first few lessons
After just a few classes, I dared to speak more. I stopped worrying too much about mistakes and focused on expressing ideas. My confidence grew, and I felt I was really improving. For me, 1-on-1 classes were not just about language, but about learning to believe in myself.
A message for others
If you’ve ever felt like me—afraid to speak, afraid of being wrong—don’t hesitate to try a 1-on-1 class. Sometimes, all you need is a caring teacher and an encouraging environment to find your confidence again and start a new journey with English.
